Fortunate

So I've realized now that I have a blog, I don't have much to say. So I was sitting here thinking about this past week and what I could write about. Here's what I came up with...

High Point and the surrounding areas were hit Sunday night by some pretty dangerous tornadoes. Some of them struck very close to our family and friend's homes. I'm just so thankful there were no fatal injuries. My heart goes out to all of those who have lost their homes and possessions, but once again thankful no one was killed and so proud to be part of a community that jumped into action so quickly to help those affected. Homes, cars and other possessions can be replaced. I guess what I'm getting at is that I try to remind myself daily that it doesn't matter how much money we have or what our house or cars looks like, it's the memories we have and the people that have helped to make those memories is what makes us fortunate.

I wish you all a Happy Easter!

Spring has begun!

Spring is here and everything is coming alive again! Our family is doing the same. With that being said, I've decided to join the blog craze. I've done this for a couple reasons. It's a very easy way to keep our loved ones updated on what's going on with our family, but also as a therapy tool. On March 19, 2010 we learned that we had a miscarriage. This was our first pregnancy and though the pain will never go away we have to move on. We love that baby and although we will never meet during our time here on earth, we know we will be reunited one day. I feel that writing and talking about it have been very therapeutic. So, here I am.

During this sadness, God has shown us how blessed we are and that no matter how hard this is we still have so many things to be happy about. I will never find the words to express how much we appreciate the amazing love and support we have received during this time. My faith has been such a driving force in helping us to cope with our loss. I fully believe that God has a plan for our family and in His time He will bless us with a beautiful bundle of joy. In the meantime we have a HUGE support system with so many people that love and care for us and two of the sweetest, most loving 4 legged children on the planet! Dogs amaze me...their love is so unconditional. Chloe and Clawson make everything better!

I am also so proud of my husband with how he has dealt with our loss and how he has helped me to cope. Benji has been everything I needed him to be during all this. I know God brought us together for a reason and I thank Him everyday for blessing me with a wonderful husband. Benji is my best friend and I couldn't imagine my life without him.

Again, we thank everyone for their love and support. You'll never know how much it means to us. We love you so much!

Until next time...
